Authentic Seacoast/Sea Fever Project

We just wrapped up installing a 42′ x 92′ Douglas Fir timber frame for the fine folks at Authentic Seacoast Brewery and Sea Fever Distillery, in Guysborough, Nova Scotia.  The building was designed by Architect Dale Archibald, of Archibald and Fraser Architects Ltd. of Antigonish, NS, and the timber frame was designed and engineered by Gillis & Company’s in-house engineer, Mark Gillis, P.Eng.

After the frame was erected, we covered the roof timbers with 2×6, tongue and groove Douglas Fir decking – insulation and roofing will follow shortly.  Once again, we’ve partnered with J.W. Lindsay, who plan to have the brewery and distillery open before the end of the year.

Being good friends and work acquaintances, we made sure to test the products beforehand, and we’re glad to say that things are looking and tasting very good for the crew in Guysborough!
