Timber Frame Fishing Lodge Part 3 – Day 5 Review

The end of the fifth day on site has the cross-gables coming together.  We have seven trusses up (out of thirteen) and the eighth is ready to go up, first thing tomorrow.  If things go as planned, we’ll have the second wing complete before we run out of daylight.

The weather was hot and the wind was calm all day; everyone took in plenty of drinks and the crew took a quick dip in the lake to cool off after supper.

The twilight hours produce unbelievable light on the frame, the lake and the mountains to the south.  The moon will be full soon, and the reflection off the water was something I couldn’t pass up.

Thanks for checking in.

Mark
