Winter Is Over!

Actual signs of spring are popping up all over the place, and it looks like winter is finally gone!  It has been a while since we last posted, but we certainly were not hibernating over the winter.  In fact, we have been very busy beavers.

First, we have been working with Avondale Construction on the renovation and re-configuring of the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic.  They are re-working the Hall of Inshore Fisheries, and we should be done sometime soon.

We have also been working again with J.W. Lindsay (see our posts on Whitepoint Lodge)on the construction of the “Greeter’s Cottage” for the new Forest Lakes Country Club.  The interior features four custom Douglas Fir timber trusses, loft timbers and trim timbers.  The wrap-around porch is completely framed with Douglas Fir timbers, stained to match the cedar decking and trim.

Here are some early shots from the Forest Lake’s project.  Note that these were taken back in late February – the timbers were wrapped with Typar to protect them from the snow and rain.  Please stay tuned for more photos from the past four months.
